5. Therefor you have to come up with an application that is more
economically compelling than stability..... or technology that drives
the conversion efficiency way up there.
6. You could think about a "barge" type model. Consider a 50' foot
tube length of stainless steel. Cut it in half vertically and seal the
face. (kind of a "D") the flat part faces up, the curved part faces
down. You use this platform for storage/mariculture-desalination
applications/positioning/pumping/ helicopter takeoff pad?) You
attach your electricity generating "pontoons" alongside (make
them with quick release cabling in case there is a bad storm). If
big waves come along- it tends to right itself. (maybe you want to
build it with concrete and an air bladder- or even submerge it for
compressed air energy storage- I don't know).
7. Now- what do you put inside the pontoons? How about one
longitudenally axised rod (say 100') and five transversely positioned
rods of 20' apiece? You fill the longitudenal tube with mercury
sufficient to make it operable and attach it to a "Smart" reservoir for
dumping the mercury in case conditions change or things get out
of hand. Anyway- this mercury can either be used
to operate the longitudenal rod when pitch is most evident, or
rerouted to fill in succession- the five transverse tubes depending
upon the predominancy and amount of roll in the sea. That is- if
there is not a lot of roll- and very little pitch- maybe the mercury
would only be routed to the first one or two transverse tubes.

on a very manageable scale and budget- (bathtub/hairdryer for
waves) with the exception of a "smart" reservoir dumping and
trafficking system with transverse tubes. No matter-if you like the
concept- you should try modeling it. "
